Fraud: Agents Are A Growing Target

Travel Industry Fraud has become an increasingly large issue for all of us in the industry.  The ACTA Fraud Prevention Committee(AFPC) was formed in February 2014 with the purpose of assisting and educating agents and the travel industry in identifying fraud trends to prevent losses. The AFPC’s primary duties and responsibilities are to provide an avenue of communication among Agents and ACTA Fraud Prevention Committee while exploring existing and emerging fraud trends and identify fraud prevention best practices. We have helped to identify education areas that may assist agents in identifying and preventing fraud losses, as well as to work to effect changes. A full collection of fraud resources can be found on the ACTA Travel Learning Campus.
