ACTA supports continuing education and believes it is an integral component to the travel professional's development. ACTA integrated an educational division to our membership, formerly CITC (Canadian Institute of Travel Counsellors) and is now the Travel Industry's source to complete the professional designation of Certified Travel Counsellor (CTC) Certified Travel Counsellour (CTM).
The educational division of ACTA will continue to endorse community colleges, private vocational schools and correspondence programs that offer
The criteria for endorsement includes:
- Length of time the program has been offered
- How graduates are performing in the workplace
- Course curriculum
- Instructor qualifications
- How students perform on the Knowledge Exam
