ACTA and Edmonton International Airport host exclusive tour for ACTA Members

On Tuesday September 25, 2018, ACTA, led by Judy Bunkall, Regional Membership Manager of Western Canada, in partnership with Edmonton International Airport (EIA) hosted an exclusive tour for ACTA members

The day started off with registration where pet therapy dogs greeted and welcomed all participants. This was followed by a presentation by Edmonton International Airport welcoming participants, as well as the Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) who had a short presentation on their role and tips for travellers.

From there the group was split into two buses and taken on a tour around the Edmonton International Airport property to highlight the many businesses and future development to happen at EIA. A stop was made for the group to visit two areas in the new outlet mall that had recently opened in 2018 on the EIA property. The first stop in the mall was the shop that brought local Edmonton and Alberta products to sell. Then participants made their way to guest services where they informed the group on the main role at the mall, which included: storing luggage for passengers who wanted to shop and shipping packages directly to their homes.

The group then broke for lunch, which was hosted by Edmonton International Airport. After lunch was done, participants were taken up to NAV Canada in the control tower to oversee what happens in the sky.

Thank you to our Allied Member Edmonton International Airport for hosting the tour and all our members that participated in the tour, ACTA will see you at the next one!
