Consumer Protection BC - License display

ACTA BC council members have noticed recently that some agencies in the province are still using an old acronym for Consumer Protection BC when they post their license number on their websites or advertising. For example “CPBC# 12345”.

According to Mike Collyer, Manager, Stakeholder Relations, with Consumer Protection BC, it is preferred that the license is clearly stated as "Consumer Protection BC license# 12345" as this is the way it is printed on the license and how both consumers and other licensees identify with Consumer Protection BC. On all public displays it should be clearly stated as "Consumer Protection BC license# 12345".
