Online Exam

ACTA administers the online version of the Qualifying Exam and Bylaw Exam on behalf of the Insurance Councils of Saskatchewan.

All registrations must be submitted a minimum of 10 business days in advance of the exam date.

Steps to Register:

1 – Call a Proctor to set up an exam date and time.  A “Proctor” physically supervises your exam to ensure it’s conducted fairly.  You may choose a Proctor from our Proctored Venues page or you may choose someone on your own.

Please make sure that your Proctor is not a close friend to you, is not related to you and has never worked for the same agency/company as you.

2 - Click here to Register online

3 – A receipt as well as a hard copy of the Study Manual will be sent to you shortly after. You will also have access to a prerecorded webinar which will serve as an additional study tool.

The TRAVEL INSURANCE QUALIFYING EXAM has a fee of $109.00 plus tax and includes the online exam, study manual and an online training webinar.

The BYLAW EXAM is $55.00 plus tax.  Saskatchewan applicants requiring both exams will be able to purchase a bundle package for $160.00 plus tax.

The pass mark on both the Qualifying exam and the Bylaw exam is 75%. The applicant must apply for a licence within one year of passing the exam(s).

If you are unsuccessful on one or both exams, you may register to rewrite. Applicants may write each exam three times before a six month waiting period is implemented.
Once the applicant has passed both exams they may apply for a Restricted Travel Insurance Agent or Salesperson Licence.

The licence application form can be obtained from the Council website at www.skcouncil.sk.ca/travel_forms.htm.

A completed licence application form, criminal record check and the applicable licence fee must be submitted to Council. Applicants will be advised by Council when they can begin transacting insurance.
