ACTA Seeks Your Support in Lobbying Ontario Government for Compensation Fund Reform
October 29, 2019 – Further to ACTA’s update on lobby efforts regarding the Ontario Travel Industry ACT (TIA) posted in last week’s ACTAVision, ACTA is seeking industry support in the form of a letter writing campaign to your MPPs and the government.
How you can help:
Please support the letter writing campaign by:
- Using the messaging from the letter template available from the home page at acta.ca or by clicking here, put it onto your letterhead. You can edit the letter as you see fit. We understand that receipt of customized letters are a lobbying best practice and taken more seriously by government officials.
- Emailing the letter to the Honourable Lisa Thompson, Minister of Government and Consumer Services at lisa.thompson@pc.ola.org.
- Emailing a copy of the letter to your MPP in your home as well as business ridings. Please used the links included to identify your electoral district: https://eregistration.elections.on.ca/en/election/search, and MPP: https://www.ola.org/en/members/current.
- Emailing a copy of the letter to ACTA President Wendy Paradis at actaadvocacy@acta.ca.
- Send the emailed letters by the deadline of November 29, 2019.
