Rebuilding Australian Tourism - Bushfires Recovery
Dear ACTA Members,
As you would all know, the Australian Summer has delivered unprecedented bushfires and as a result of a furious global media, the situation as reported is in no way the actual situation on the ground.
Australia is dealing with a very bad bushfire situation, but from a tourism perspective 97% of our tourism asset remains unimpacted by the fires, yet the global travelling community believes we have all burnt to the ground.
The Australian Federal Government has asked us all the reach out to your networks to spread the message and below please find an outline of the governments response, some very helpful links and resources along with the press release from our Prime Minister.
I do ask, that whatever you might be able to do to support Australia at this time would be most welcomed and we would all be very grateful for your assistance.
