ACTA and IATA host Canada's first Agency Debit Memo (ADM) Workshop

Last week, ACTA and IATA hosted the first regional Agency Debit Memo (ADM) Workshop in Canada. Over 40 retail travel agencies and airlines participated in the one-day workshop, designed for those directly involved in the back-end travel agency accounting operations. The group took a deep-dive into the top two reasons for debit memos in Canada: Commission Calculation and Chargebacks. Canada specific market analysis was shared along with an overview of the ADM Life Cycle including the Dispute and Post-Billing Dispute processes. The workshop allowed for discussion on other pain points and how the industry can address them together. The day wrapped up with identifying some Best Practices which can be included in an updated version of the IATA ADMUG Best Practices Guide. Special thanks to Goway Travel for supporting this industry initiative and providing the meeting space and refreshments.
