ACTA welcomes our newest Allied member, Tanzania Tourist Board | Aug 4, 2023

Tanzania Tourist Board is mandated to promote unique destinations on the African continent that has yet to be discovered by many, both domestically and internationally. The Board works with the private domestic tour operators in promoting Tanzania's 22 national parks, one conservation area, 27 game reserves, and several marine parks.

As a government arm for promoting tourism, it works with the Tanzania Missions Abroad, such as the Tanzania High Commission in Canada, to bring the land of many wonders closer to the world. For years now, the collaboration between Tanzania High Commission in Canada and the Board has brought awareness to Canadians about the permanently snow-capped highest free-standing mountain in Africa - Kilimanjaro; the exotic Islands of Zanzibar and the finest game sanctuaries of Serengeti through different travel and tourism shows across Canada. Tanzania receives more than 15,000 Canadian tourists yearly.

For the past six years, renowned international tourism media professionals and travel agents from different countries enjoys free familiarization trips to Tanzania tourist attractions through the Swahili International Tourism Expo (S! TE). S! TE brings together more than 200 exhibitors from 50 + countries in the magnificent venue with excellent facilities to host international events every October.
