ACTA Thanks Air Transat

ACTA is pleased to acknowledge Air Transat for successfully avoiding a serious and untimely labour disruption, helping to protect both travel advisors and consumers during the peak holiday travel season.

Throughout this process, Air Transat demonstrated proactive, clear, and timely communication. ACTA also applauds Air Transat’s commitment to protecting travel advisor commissions in the event of a potential strike—an important step that reflects a strong understanding of the advisor community.

These actions exemplify meaningful supplier–travel advisor collaboration. ACTA encourages members to reference and reinforce ACTA’s 7 Advocacy Asks of Suppliers in their discussions with supplier partners. When suppliers align with these principles, it strengthens trust, reduces operational strain, and supports the long-term sustainability of the travel advisor community.

We recognize the significant pressure that potential labour disruptions place on travel agencies and travel advisors, particularly during critical travel periods, and we sincerely appreciate the steps Air Transat took to minimize impacts on our travel advisors and their clients.
