As we wrap up a successful season of engagement, I’m proud to reflect on our recent victory lap — three outstanding ACTA Summits in Toronto, Vancouver, and Montreal.

Delivering the final summit on October 1 in my hometown of Montreal was especially meaningful. Born and raised there and now based in Ottawa, I’m proud to have deep roots in our travel community while being well-positioned to lead ACTA’s advocacy efforts with the federal government.

I’m very proud of our ACTA team for their professionalism and commitment in delivering an exceptional summit season that brought members together, fostered collaboration, and strengthened our shared voice. Work is already underway planning ACTA’s upcoming regional events for Q1 and Q2 of 2026, where we’ll continue engaging with members and building on the momentum from this successful season. I am also pleased to welcome Kamal Dames, Manager, Finance and Operations, to the ACTA team. His experience and leadership will further strengthen and support ACTA’s continued growth and success.

This week, I met with Tourism Shadow Minister Tony Baldinelli and with Wade Chang, Liberal MP for Burnaby Central to discuss key issues and opportunities that affect our sector. Advocacy remains central to ensuring that the voices of ACTA members — travel agencies and travel advisors — are heard at every level of government.

I also attended the “Evening with the Bahamas”, connecting with travel advisors locally in Ottawa and with this important partner. It was a valuable opportunity to strengthen relationships and reinforce our commitment to collaboration within the global travel community.

The ACTA Membership Drive is now underway. I encourage all members — travel agencies and travel advisors — to renew your membership and remain engaged in ACTA’s work. Together, we are connected by purpose and by the unified voice that drives our industry forward.

Thank you for your continued support and commitment.
