ACTA hosts airport tour with Saskatoon Airport Authority

On Tuesday, April 21st, ACTA SK members were invited to a special tour of the newly renovated airport. There were 25 agents that took advantage of the opportunity hosted by Maxine Montgomery, Manager, Customer and Terminal Services at Saskatoon Airport Authority and Shelley Morris, Region Manager at ACTA. The tour included an overview of the new security screening area and post-security amenities such as new restaurants and stores, interesting architectural features incorporated by local architect Derek Kindrachuk and comfortable seating areas, including a beautiful fireplace (a favorite of Maxine’s!) (see fireplace peeking out from behind group in photo)

The tour concluded at the new Refuel Restaurant and Bar which incorporates refurbished aircraft components in the design (see the photo of the cool bar area). Agents enjoyed a chance to visit and refreshments courtesy of Saskatoon Airport Authority and raised a glass to celebrate the upcoming Travel Agent’s Day, as well as congratulate Maxine Montgomery on her retirement at the end of the week. Thanks Maxine and SAA!
