ACTA hosts Toronto Pearson Airport Tour

On October 20, 2016 ACTA hosted 30 of our members for an inside tour of Pearson Airport led by Russell Cruickshank the tour specialist for the GTAA.

Highlights of the tour included meeting the Canine Dog Unit, a visit from Keith, one of the wildlife control specialists for the airport and his hawk Bullett.

Participants entered the airfield on a special GTAA bus and toured the airport apron including a glimpse inside of the International baggage area.

Every aspect of the tour was fascinating and we now understand why Pearson Airport is on its way to becoming a megahub. Did you know that Pearson airport employs 49,000 people and is Canada’s busiest and largest airport? Currently Pearson services 41 million passengers per year and by 2043, it can expect to serve 65-70 million per year. Pearson is North America’s second-largest airport for international traffic.

Special thank you goes to Jennifer Mucha who arranged for all tour participants to experience GTAA's Valet Parking experience – a perfect way to start your journey! For your own experience below please find a promo code offering 50% off of parking at the Terminal Garages (only available through online reservations at least 12 hours prior to arrival time) www.torontopearson.com/parkingreservations
