FRAUD: Wrapping up Fraud Prevention Month

As March, Fraud Prevention Month comes to an end we would like to thank all of our ACTA members for their participation. Last week, ACTA ran a very successful webinar in both French and English to educate and inform our members about current fraud trends and tips to avoid becoming a victim of Fraud. With over 158 participants registered for the presentation it proved to be a very popular topic and one of ACTA’s largest webinar audiences! At ACTA we take travel industry fraud very seriously and were very happy to learn that you do to. We would like to personally thank ASSOCIATION OF TOUR OPERATORS OF QUEBEC (ATOQ) for their partnership and support throughout the month.

The ACTA FRAUD WEBINAR will be available on demand for ACTA members through the ACTA Learning Campus in early April in both French and English. We urge you to share the presentation with your staff and colleagues. ACTA Members also have on demand access to fraud information, tips, education and prevention in the MEMBER ONLY SUPPORT SECTION of the ACTA website.

ACTA actively participates in the IATA FRAUD PREVENTION COMMITTEE where twice a year we meet to collaborate on this very serious topic.  In addition, ACTA works closely with the ASSOCIATION OF TOUR OPERATORS OF QUEBEC (ATOQ) in fraud prevention discussions and initiatives.

ACTA will continue to assist and educate ACTA Members throughout the year in identifying fraud trends to prevent losses. We will continue to communicate and identify fraud prevention best practices as well as  identify education areas that may assist members.
