Promoting the Canadian Transportation Agency's Air Passenger Protection Consultations

Under proposed legislation now before Parliament, the Canadian Transportation Agency (CTA) will be empowered to make air passenger protection regulations. The CTA will begin consultations on the new regulations once the bill receives royal assent and will include an online questionnaire, written submissions, and public consultations in cities across Canada.

The CTA would like to encourage you to help ensure that all Canadians are aware of their opportunities to input to the up-coming consultations. In the coming weeks, once the bill receives royal assent and the launch date is confirmed, the CTA will be able to provide you with promotional tools for your social media channels and webpage to help us raise awareness. Your support would be greatly appreciated.

In the meantime, to help ensure Canadians know about the CTA's role related to consumer protection for air travel travellers, the CTA released a video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8bYMrAMs7j0) explaining the resources available to passengers, when they encounter problems with airlines and announcing the upcoming consultations.
