ACTA responds to latest airline surcharge

In a recent release by the Association of Canadian Travel Agencies (ACTA), Wendy Paradis, President of ACTA, responded to the latest airline surcharge, "ACTA strongly believes that only real taxes belong in the tax field and all other “service fees and surcharges” are a cost of the product and belong in the base fare." (refer to this article).

ACTA has responded to a recent temporary $20 surcharge that will be added to all packages and flights booked since June 21, 2018 on departures as of Aug. 1, 2018.
