Canada’s largest airline is riding high, with record stock prices, worldwide awards and solid profits. But Air Canada isn’t taking its eye off the runway.
In a wide-ranging talk with TravelPulse Canada, Air Canada’s Duncan Bureau, Vice President Global Sales and Distribution, talked about the company’s challenges from low-cost airlines such as Wow Air and Wizz, as well as Flair and WestJet’s ultra low-cost airline, called Swoop.
He also addressed Air Canada’s remarkable international growth, their strategy for the future, visa issues for Indian nationals, the growth of Toronto Pearson and Vancouver International airports, the problems created by high Canadian government taxes and even the recent cold snap.
