I am writing with so much appreciation for our Travel Agent. She works with Magical Trips- TPI- Travel Professionals International out of St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada.
Planning our vacation time is never easy. I am a teacher, and limited to those wonderful expensive times of the year to travel, and my husband is self-employed, and finds it difficult to get away. Our vacations are usually booked at the last minute, when my husband can get away, and our Travel Agent is always so very patient and understanding with this.
Two summers ago, I didn't think we would be having a family vacation. My husband was quite busy at work, and time was not on our side for travelling. Then, I had the most wonderful phone call from our Travel Agent. "Nancy, can you have everyone ready to go in 10 days?" I was writing report cards and finishing up the school year!! My panic time, but she explained she and Andrew had found a small window to get our family out of here! Not only that, but she had booked us in for Disney at our favorite hotel, Universal to stay on site at Hard Rock, and Lego Land! My boys were soooo excited, as was I! A couple of days later, it dawned on me, what about our Disney dining? She laughed at me! She said she had kept files of our other vacations and knew all our favorite restaurants to dine at! She had our days planned around those...Liberty Tree Tavern in Magic Kingdom because my husband loves the food there and because I love to walk out to see The Main Street Electrical Parade with our boys right after we eat! Tusker House at Animal Kingdom for character breakfast, and many others! She truly did have all our favorites included.
It was such a wonderful and last minute surprise, and everything planned exactly how we like it, if not BETTER, with nothing at all to worry about! Our transitions from resort to resort, flights and car rentals, all PERFECT!
So, last year comes and again, our Travel Agent messages Andrew things we might be interested in. She is an amazing listener, with terrific attention to detail! My 11 year old son had been following and comparing the biggest cruise ships. She had been listening! She contacted Andrew with another perfect vacation. We would fly into Miami where we would take our boys to a Marlins game, we would see Katy Perry in concert, and where my husband could experience a ComicCon convention. Then, we would travel on Royal Caribbean Oasis of the Seas for a week, and then back to Fort Lauderdale for Outlet shopping! Once again, I can't tell you what the best parts of the vacation were! My boys, 8 and 11, have decided they LOVE cruising, possibly better than Disney right now! Who wouldn't on the biggest cruise ship with a Flow Rider, multiple swimming pools, movie theatres, skating rink, characters, and everything else?!? I do remember contacting her from our hotel room in Fort Lauderdale squealing that the outlet mall was right outside my window, and that I could leave my three boys swimming at the hotel and go shopping, by myself, guilt free! She laughed so hard and said, I know!
Yes, she knows us so well, and as the saying goes, loves us anyway! This last minute planning would be difficult for many people. Our Travel Agent seems to thrive on it and always makes our vacations BEYOND magical! It is now May, and while nothing is planned for this summer's vacation as of today, I know in my heart that she will find something that will work for our family. She always does.
