ACTA Announces 40th Anniversary Certification Offer

In celebration of our 40th Anniversary, the Association of Canadian Travel Agencies (ACTA) is thrilled to be offering an opportunity for Travel Agent leaders to accelerate the attainment of the prestigious professional designation of Certified Travel Counsellor (CTC).

With ACTA celebrating 40 years of experience representing our member’s interests, we are also recognizing the experience of professional Travel Agents by creating an accelerated path to certification. This accelerated program requires three simple steps that include enrolment, providing verification of ten or more years of experience, and submitting client and industry references.

The CTC certification has been the professional designation of the Canadian travel industry for over 5 decades.  Since 1964, travel agents have been demonstrating their professionalism and commitment by becoming certified.

“Attaining and promoting your Certified Travel Counsellor (CTC) professional designation shows your existing clients and potential future clients that you have the proven skills, experience and commitment to excellence,” says Wendy Paradis, ACTA President.  “Studies show that the value of the travel agent is on the rise and becoming certified highlights your dedication to your profession”

Dianne Jackson, CTC and Director of Travel and Retail Product for CAA South Central Ontario notes, “the CTC designation lets our clients know they are working with professionals in their field.  We have invested in our education and take pride in what we do; it gives our clients peace of mind knowing they are working with a Certified Travel Counsellor.”

This program presents a perfect opportunity for Canadian Travel Agents who have postponed completing their designation in the past to realize the benefits of certification in a few simple steps.

This limited time opportunity is part of ACTA’s 40th anniversary celebration and will only accept enrolment through the accelerated program from September 15 to December 1, 2017.

Join us for a live webinar on October 4, 2017 at 1:00pm EST as we present details of the accelerated program and discuss how being certified increases your credibility with your client and employer. Learn how certification positions you as a leader amongst your peers and opens opportunities for career advancement, offering you a strong sense of pride for your accomplishment.
